Meraki WAN Uplink Alerts

Hello,

I am looking for help with alerts for Meraki MX appliances, cant seem to find the condition that will allow me to alert when WAN 1 or WAN 2 uplinks go down. I also have a custom property for NodeLocation called Stores, and this is where all the Meraki appliances are located.

I use the interface down alert, and duplicate it, then I choose I want to alert on SD WAN Node, and then in my trigger condition as showb below, I dont see any interface name vlaue, or even a value for WAN uplinks etc.

I need to help please, this is for a big client and alerting needs to be accurate, as they have over a 1000 MX appliances that are being monitored.

try this see if it works for you. I have a custom property Meraki MX Series to filter. you will need to create same.

Use Custom SWQL Alert(advanced) and use below query # this will create alert on associated SDWAN devices

SELECT Nodes.Uri, Nodes.DisplayName FROM Orion.SdWan.Nodes AS Nodes

LEFT JOIN
(
SELECT WAN.NodeID,WAN.LocalIp, WAN.PublicIp, WAN.InterfaceInfo, WAN.Status, WAN.StatusDescription
FROM Orion.SdWan.NodesInterfaces AS WAN
) WAN on Nodes.NodeID = WAN.NodeID
WHERE WAN.Status=17

hellodhinagar_j i tried this SWQL query, but when trying to create the trigger action message, and attempt to slect variables, the system hangs, and becomes unresponsive. Are you able to advise?

sorry that, to avoid complication, we are creating message as Wan uplink of SDwan node << alert variable for node>> is in Failed state.

If WAN Ip, is still needed, we need to work on SWQL custom attribute.
