Is there a way to generate an alert off the back of a report?

Simple question really but with perhaps not so simple an answer.

Background: we have a report that runs, successfully, and extracts the failed NCM jobs. What we'd really like to do is generate an incident per individual failed node, but if not, then an incident from a failed job at minimum.

Can it be done?

  • It turns out that there is a "canned alert" for just this and my old eyes must have been failing me.

It's called "download config request by job failed"!

For our purposes this is a very crude method, but it is a start that I believe we can build on. And of course, this only answers this one specific query as I can imagine there are other reports we'd like to run where getting a certain result or failure, then we would like to alert on that. So a semi-answer Smiley
