I am having the same problem with SSMS 19. I am using SSMS version 19.0.20209. When I recently upgraded Plan Explorer to v2023.1.3.38556 the option to open a plan in Plan Explorer has disappeared from my SSMS context menu. I now must save the plan as XML and open in Plan Explorer.
Me too. Almost identical setup and situation.
Plan Explorer was recently upgraded to add support for SSMS v19. Upgrading to the latest build of PE should help.
Thanks. I'm at 2023.1.3.38556 which the update check says is the latest version. I'll uninstall/reinstall PW and SSMS when I have a good window (which is rare.)
I was at .2023.1.3.38556 as well. I had to uninstall, reboot, reinstall. It was worth it, because it works now!
