Mute Notification for A specific category

So we have made a custom category for Phish Email Notification. Since the original user does not need to be notified of any changes post incident creation, is there a way to mute email notification for that particular category or is there a better method to notify the helpdesk but not the original requester. 

  • Not sure if this will help you or not, but we had a case where Service Request were going to a group and getting emails and then the users of the task also were getting emails.  Double up. 

    What I did was create a group such as No notification with no one assigned to it and then assigned the request to that group. 

    That way only the task users received an email and no one was emailed when the overall request was created.
