Extract HTTP response json value to variable

Hi,

I'm new here and got some different code which is working. I have a rest call that provides and count - json like below. I would like to know how to get below into an variable. And also later to use this variable in the ScriptOut put status code.

REST API OUTPUT:

{"count":1883}

Its an old post but I think has what you want.

Your script exit code will provide status to Orion for the component, and in the script, you can have pairs of Messages and Statistics (its either 5 or 10 per component) and you can reply with just the stat. I could be wrong, but replacing the return $response with the line below should give you that, just add an exit code also.

Thanks for answering - replacing the above still gives the format different:

Output: ==============================================
Statistic: @{count=1883}
NOT EQUAL

Whereas, I would need to have 1883 to be saved to variable and use it in else if to return status code 0,1,2,3 etc.

This did the trick -

return ( $response | Select-Object -ExpandProperty count)

Anyhow the Status is known as 'Unknow'
