My boss's question

We are upgrading to the new environment of SAM and NPM I believe, at least SAM I know that much for sure. My boss want to know if SAM 5.2 is capable of running on SQL Server 2012. He also want's to know if our production 5.2 and our test 6.1.1 is capable of communicating with the back-end database using an SSL connection. If anyone knows this or can point me in the right direction I would be much appreciative.

  • That doc just tells you the ports that need to be opened for each server and app last time I checked.  I'm not aware that it mentions anything on how to change the connection from SW and the DB server from a secure ADO connection to using SSL.  Now, you can use SSL with the website.  I'm wondering if that's what he's referring to.
