Download multiple files or directories at once from Web Client interface (not the Pro interface)

I noticed in the File Sharing feature that you can download all files at once and it creates a zip file. Could something similar be done in the Web Client interface? I know that you can use the Web Client Pro to download multiple files at once but that requires Java and adds some extra complexity for the clients and customers that we give access to our MFT site.

Need a new web client to support multiple files without using java. Need to rewrite it using HTML5 and JQuery. It will support multiple files as well as drag and drop. No need for browser plugins.

I believe this is due to the limits of the native web client.
The Java options (web client pro and FTP Voyager JV) are how Serv-U gets around the browsers limits of upload size, and concurrent upload/downloads.
