FTP Voyager crashing on Put.

Hello. I'm new to FTP Voyager. I inherited what's probably an ancient version. It's been running literally for years with no need for interaction from me other than an occasional double click to fire it up. Now we're setting up SFTP with OpenText. I can download files, but FTP Voyager crashes every time I try to upload a file. Drag and drop, or Put. Same thing. I don't know much about it so I'm stuck. The reason for using Voyager is to take advantage of the scheduler. I don't know how to use that, either.

  • FTP voyager is useful and certainly can be used to schedule tasks.  What I would do is to make sure you are using the latest version of the Free software.

You might also want to check the youtube link below on how to use the FTP voyager and FTP Voyager Scheduler.

  • I downloaded the last version of FTP Voyager/Scheduler. I installed it on my local PC to test. I have used the scheduler to pull down files and I put a file up to the server without issue. I hope to have the same success when I install on my server.

I found that I am unable to view the files on the server. The scheduler pulls them down, but I can't see them prior. I also can't see the files I uploaded. But if I connect with FileZilla, I can see all the files. Any idea why? I was also unable to see the files with the older version of FTP Voyager.

  • You might want to do it manually first on the server instead of using the FTP voyager/scheduler.  if that will product the same result, I would say something environmental.
