Request for proposal for software development - How to write?

Hi All, I'm new here and the purpose is clear from my title. I know that it is a document created by the business that needs services for potential vendors that could take over the project. RFP contains all the important information about the project that the potential vendor should be aware of. The problem is that I don't know how to write it, although I've tried many times after watching YT tutorials and videos but no result yet. Can anyone pls help me to write it or can refer me to any video or blog, so I may write it properly instead of hiring anyone.

Much thanks!

  • The software development request for proposal is the initial document you create before you select a software development firm.

A software RFP can also be used for other projects. In it, you will outline specifics about the project, your requirements, even expected deliverable dates. Vendors will read this document. They will then submit a bid based on your request. It's a basic concept.

Now writing an request for proposal consists of many factors such as:

    • Company description
    • Project Scope And Deliverables
    • Product Requirements
    • Project Management
    • Timeline For Response
    • Bid Structure And Requirements

These are main points and all of these have many sub points in each of them. If you need spoon feeding, better to look at this one https://jaydevs.com/how-to-write-an-rfp-for-software-development/ to clear your doubts. All is explained in detail and I don't think that you will need any other guidance after going through this blog.
