We are monitoring Velocloud devices in Orion over snmpv2c, the interface utilization for WAN interfaces shows zero on charts but there is utilization as seen from device console. We did snmp walk and found that device itself is reporting zero based on calculation using counters received over OID SolarWinds uses to poll interface data.
a. What object IDs (OIDs) does NPM poll for interface information (solarwinds.com)
b. Calculate interface bandwidth utilization in NPM (solarwinds.com)
As a solution, we got Velocloud specific OID for interface and created a UNDP. We got raw data for it but there is no way to create similar interface utilization formula in transform result option in UNDP as per Calculate interface bandwidth utilization in NPM (solarwinds.com).
