Orion Next Generation User Interface (UI)

Ok, I know we are asking for quite a bit here, but we would PAY MORE for a new / updated user interface for Orion.

Things we would like to see:

Individual element (text, charts, guages) data refreshing instead of full page refreshes. So tired of losing our spot on the page when it refreshed and the refresh breaks your concentration.
Page customization screen would list element items grouped by module with module prefixes in the names. Seriously, it's impossible to find things the way it is now.
Drag and Drop for page customization while on the active page, not from the current screen that is just a placeholder for the elements.

when will there be a TOTAL redesign done of Orion
Specifically HTML5 architecture needs to be designed in and NOT added one
The current Orion engine and GUI are very dated and pale in comparison to what other vendors are doing

I like this but it's much more easier said than done. It basically like saying rewrite the whole thing. I suppose a completely new development project side by side would have to start for something like this to happen?

Completely agree, however I really believe it needs to happen. In Solarwinds defense, they have made some progress but I still feel like I'm driving a 1985 when it's 2014.

i have asked for this for a few years now, the longer the design is delayed, the later it will be completed
it is SW decision to stay the status quo
it is is the customer's decision to pick a product that meets their needs
this is how MS lost a major % of market share
imagine what google maps would be like without html5, yes it would be unusable
