HISTORICAL STATUS OF NODES IN MAP

Hi Team,

I am looking to compare the map at one point in time vs another. like a slider in MAP which we can move back to see the status of all nodes in previous time.

Thanks

  • So this is time travel.  How long would you expect to be able to go back?  Is storage of that data a concern for you?

  • No concern for storage. At least there should be no issue for 7 days, since we have a detailed report for 7 days, after that there may be some issue due to summarization.

  • Understood.  However, there is a MASSIVE difference between a basic report and a map.  In a map, we would need to consider storing much more than what you are assuming.  Nodes AND connections that were added or removed over that time frame, the placement of each object on the maps, the status and performance metrics from each, alerts that existed at that time, etc...  This multiplied by the number of maps you have created are just some general examples of problems we need to solve in order to accomplish this.  It is certainly not a trivial amount of information.
