CIO Dashboard - beyond the routine

Solarwinds NPM, SAM and other associated products do their job well but the "View from the Top" is somewhat missing.

What a CIO would like to see is a overview of his IT Infrastructure -

Network, Servers, Applications etc

A Network Dashboard

A Server Dashboard

We have used Custom tags to identify locations, device types and are able to write Custom SQL queries to get the node counts but unable to get them show up in Views. A much desired feature request to enhance a Customer view.

Similarly if we could further enhance this by adding Application Dashboards.

  • Hi,

Currently we have written SW-SQL queries to query the database and fetch for all network or server nodes tagged with a custom property "location" and then query for its "status".

Once the query is done, we store the same in a Linux system running a web service & Python. A script then displays node status as per location.
