This is what I used to alert on any device not responding to SNMP that uses ICMP for up/down status and this seems to be working fine. If the node has an ICMP status of "UP" and SNMP Hardware status of "UNDEFINED" OR a Node Child Status of "UNKNOWN" then in most cases, the node stopped responding to SNMP and will send the alert. If your ICMP node status is down, it will not alert on the SNMP Status.
