newbie question: min/max/avg data from?

How solarwind get the result of min/max/avg bandwidth fromt the interface?

by the way, I know it use snmp poll the interface.

    It retrieves it from the bandwidth statement on the interface itself. If there is no bandwidth statement, it will default to what the interface is capable of (T1 - 1.54mb, etc).
