I'm new in my company, and they're using as much as possible open source solutions.
So, we have a interconnection between two buildings that is used at 99% (100Mb) all the time and we would like to analyze that traffic.
Back in my previous company, I installed a software called Intelligent Management Software (IMC) sold by HPE/Aruba with the module NTA (Network Traffic Analyzer) and it was pretty good, allowed to display which applications were using the network, which ports, and so on.
Do you have an idea of what kind of solution I could install to analyze the traffic up to the L7 ?
I saw a post talking about ntop, but it's far from free, and I'm not sure the free version is enough for our needs.
