ipMonitor Hide a Dashboard Alert

I have many low priority monitors that require actions from other employees to resolve. Some are merely informational alerts and I don't want them to show up on my ipMonitor dashboard. I would love to be able to "hide" an alert. These alerts could go to a "hidden alerts" area, or I could have the ability to "show all hidden alerts" in some way.

At the end of the day, I just like having a clean dashboard. I like knowing that if something shows up on my dash, I need to take action. I don't want to see alerts on the dash that I've created at the request of others that are of no importance to me.

  • We had a similar issue and resolved it in two ways. The first, use groups and have your monitors in your group and theirs in their group. You select your folder to monitor and you don't see theirs. We also implemented smart groups and tags as another way of creating views of only what different people wanted. If I want to see everything, I look at My Network. If I want to look at my monitors only, I simply select my top level group.  With a smart group, just tag what you don't want to see and have a smart group that includes monitors only, where the tag is not equal to "hidden alerts".
