DPA 12.1.701 with AWS Marketplace Subscription

After AWS removes the Solarwinds products from Marketplace since the Onion hack, the DPA stop receives upgrade information.

We need help to understand if we upgrade our version will stop work or works fine with our Subscription.

  • You should be able to upgrade the DPA Server in your AWS AMI to the latest versions of DPA without any problem. If you do run into an issue, please call SolarWinds technical support.

    Sadly this is not an option, on AWS Marketplace not show any Solarwinds product, any information about the AMI of the DPA already installed send to a 404 page.

  • The marketplace links are temporarily blocking only new AMI customers. Existing AMI customers are not impacted. If you haven't received the email or no longer have the link sent out to Amazon customers of where to download the latest DPA version into your image so that you can run the install and upgrade, please call SolarWinds support. Let them know you are an DPA Amazon Marketplace AMI customer and they will set you up with download and other information. You can always refer to DPA's online documentation guide and the large DPA Thwack user community blogs for additional information and ideas. 

  • The DPA AWS Marketplace AMI is once again available for new subscriptions. If you want to start a new subscription, the AMI image has also been updated to the latest release DPA 2021.1.889.  

    If you want to continue with your prior AMI image and upgrade the contained DPA Server to a more recent release such as DPA 2021.1.889, you should download and upgrade the DPA Server within your existing image. 

    As mentioned earlier in this thread, if you don't have the software download links, please contact SolarWinds support.  Make sure you let them know your Amazon customer ID and that you are an Amazon AWS customer subscribing to the DPA AWS AMI !!  Otherwise, SolarWinds Support will try and look up you or your company and will fail to find your SolarWinds ID (SWID) and therefore cannot verify that a SWID currently is under maintenance for DPA.

    Active DPA AWS AMI customers are entitled to SolarWinds DPA Support. SolarWinds Support just needs to know to validate support entitlement using a different process for AWS AMI subscriptions.
