Dameware Remote Support v10 'software' and 'processes' not working?

I have DameWare Remote Support to help manage our desktops.  DRS can see the domain, see the computer accounts in the domain, and after opening some firewall ports and starting remote registry service, can do most things in the DRS browser pane.  It cannot however, see the running processes (processes) nor the installed software (software) on any machine.  When I try, I get an "Error 5 - Access is denied"

I've created a different domain user account with both administrator and domain administrator priveleges and am using that with DRS with the same effect.

Is anyone else having this issue?  Has anyone solved it?

  • If DameWare Remote Support processes are not working , one can switch to alternatives like R-HUB remote support servers, logmein, Teamviewer etc. for remotely accessing computers from anywhere anytime. It works from behind the firewall, hence better security plus works on all plaforms viz Windows, MAC, Android, iOS etc.
