In October 2014, SolarWinds conducted a survey of 579 Server & Application Monitor Customers.  Attached is presentation of the results.  Key findings:

 

  • After implementing Server & Application Monitor, 85% of customers saw some improvement in availability. Of those, 39% of customers saw 6% or more improvement in service availability.
  • Before deploying SAM only 6% of users proactively responded to problems 71-100% of the time. After deploying SAM 31% of users proactively responded to problems 71-100% of the time.
  • 86% of administrators spend less than 20 hours administering SAM per month.
  • 66% of companies who have deployed SAM spent less than $5,000 on training, consulting and other services in the last year.
