    Node Issues

    danajr12

I seen to be having a problem with adding devices under a node. I have two node. Virginia and North Carolina. I have the devices with the correct location  and region. When I hover over North Carolina it states that it only has one device under that node. The same goes with the Virginia node.

I have deleted some of the devices and tried to re-add them. Still no love.

I also have a issue with the Network Atlas. When I make changed to the Atlas and I go into solarwinds the made changes doesn't show up?

I think you may have posted this in the wrong area. From what it looks like to me you should be using groups.

A "node" in Solarwinds is not a group of objects, but a single device.

I think I did also. I'm new to solarwinds so i'm trying to figure out things as I go. I understand what you are saying. What I was trying to do is when I click on the state of North Carolina i'm trying to have all the devices show up.

Are you referencing a geographical map created on Network Atlas

How are you actually adding the device under the node?  And when you're referencing a "node" you should look at is as a "group".  A node is an actual "device".

When you say you're hovering over the "node" where are you hovering over it?  Is it on a map or in a List?  Would you mind sending a screen shot so I have a better idea of what you're referring to?

                • If you're adding a device in a group go to Settings>All Settings>Manage Groups>Select the group you want to add the device to.  It sounds like you've already created two groups (Virgina and North Carolina).  Add the device/node into its respective group.

                • When ever making changes on your Atlas Maps make sure to save your work by click on the Disk icon on the top left-hand corner.
