So I have a fresh install of WHD 12.3 that seems to be working well.
We wanted to setup single sign ons so I configured a new windows 2012 server. I added the ADFS role, a certificate, exported the verification certificate to WHD, and brought the meta data over to the ADFS server.
Success! Everything works great!
Well for a few days anyway. Then the ADFS server stops responding to requests and gives users errors like this:
There was a problem accessing the site. Try to browse to the site again.
If the problem persists, contact the administrator of this site and provide the reference number to identify the problem.
Reference number: 3a3907a9-5c4d-426a-8574-2b236463a91c
You can still login to WHD if you bypass ADFS. So I figured the issue was with my ADFS configuration. So I built up a brand new windows 2012 Server and configured ADFS. Changed WHD to point to the new server and once again, back in business. Now a few days later and this ADFS server stops responding to requests from WHD until I do a reboot.
Any thoughts? Anyone else experience this issue?
I've got this in place with ADFS on a server 2012 box and it works perfect.
Depending on your environment you may need to make some tweaks to ADFS, and if you're using browsers other than IE you WILL need to make some adjustments to the browser itself.

Hope that helps, nothing else stood out in my notes for problems.
