Custom Charts without Time column

Hi All,

Is it at all possible using Custom Charts in Orion to plot a count on a bar graph to reflect report statistics such as the below which is a custom report totaling all node down events over the last month and outputting the top 20 Nodes? The below just reflect a custom property of StoreCode instead of Node.Caption. I have attempted creating a custom chart based on the SQL query and having it pull a list of timestamps returning MAX(EventTime) for each node just to satisfy the Time Column criteria of the data series, but I don't see any way to replace this with something such as the StoreCode below.

Why in the world would you require time data. There are a million uses to see counts by non-time based categories, in bar or pie charts. These seems like a major limitation to a very common requirement…

If I'm interpreting correctly, a custom table resource similar to the below may work:

I didn't end up using the Graph as it seems the Y axis always has to be a timestamp and there needs to be at least two timstamps in the series to plot anything. I have just used a table instead for now.

Bumping this. Has anyone found out if or how you can do this? I so far haven't and think it is currently not possible. My boss is very adamant about having bar graphs that indicate average weekly circuit utilization, apparently a table is too hard to read.
I would be very appreciative if anyone has some comments. My current solution is an excel macro that turns my .csv export into a graph...

I have just come across this issue also. Is it possible to graph such data without needing to have a time based value?
This would obviously be hugely beneficial to be able to take a Label and numeric value to create a Bar chart or indeed a Pie chart to see information in such form.

Orion doesn't allow the charts to be used for non time data series. For cases like that I might suggest using SSRS as outlined in this document

That was written several years ago but none of the fundamentals have really changed much since then.
