Re: Multiple Interface Stats view
Andy McBride Feb 8, 2012 4:51 PM (in response to stevenjwilliams83)The multiple object chart is the one you want. I think that doc needs to be updated. Can you reply with the URL of that PDF?
Thanks!

stevenjwilliams83 Feb 9, 2012 8:35 AM (in response to Andy McBride)The PDF is here:
http://www.solarwinds.com/resources/quickstart/Orion-Multi-Interface-Statistics-View.pdf
So now I have created that view I go to customize the menu bar and the multiple interface view I do not see in the available items list?

Re: Multiple Interface Stats view
Andy McBride Feb 9, 2012 10:44 AM (in response to stevenjwilliams83)Thanks for sending the link. The doc does need to be updated to reflect new capabilities. So that I can better understand, how many interfaces are you needing to have in the resource? If you have more that a few this chart will be very difficult to read. If that is the case, I recommend creating a report and add the interfaces you need using the filters tab.

Re: Multiple Interface Stats view
stevenjwilliams83 Feb 9, 2012 2:08 PM (in response to Andy McBride)I have a 6500 with about 144 ports and I need to just monitor a port channel and 2 interfaces. Thats all. I need to do this for multiple devices in my network. I want this to be my landing page when I open the Web Console. I want to see the Key Devices on my network that can make or break it, and the Key Interfaces on those devices. Does this make sense?

Re: Multiple Interface Stats view
Andy McBride Feb 9, 2012 3:30 PM (in response to stevenjwilliams83)Yes, that does make sense. I would create a group for those key devices and then place a group resource on your home page via Settings -> Manage Views. Once the resource is on the home page click on the resource Edit button and make sure Remember Expanded Groups is checked.

Re: Multiple Interface Stats view
stevenjwilliams83 Feb 9, 2012 4:30 PM (in response to Andy McBride)Still confused.
I created a group and called it Key Devices, and sorted by node -> vendor.
I added my key device routers/switches.
Then I have a view I called "Critical Device Summary" Highlighted that view in the list and selected edit on the right side.
Then it takes me to a screen where I can customize (screenshot attached) I do not see "Remember Expanded Groups" What resources do I need to add to the columns? Sorry for all the questions.
