    Groups and Custom fields


      I love the new groups.   Previously I had created a custom field, which contained a primary contact email address, and would use that field for sending alerts to affected parties.   With the new groups,  I am creating a sort of ITIL service monitor.  These monitors are essentially groups that can include app, component, nodes or ip sla info.   I want to create alerts off these groups, but I would like to use a generic alert.   I would like to assign a primary email contact to different groups and then have the group alert send to that custom property.

      Is this possible?   And if so, how?
