I am monitoring for certain events in the event log of a Windows 2000 Server Standard machine. Whenever ipMonitor 10 polls the monitor, it causes high CPU utilization on the Windows 2000 box and is using up all the cycles on winmgmt.exe. It will do this between 20secs and 1minute plus, whenever if scans. The only fix I've read on winmgmt.exe is to tone down the logging level to errors only. Been there done that. Still don't have an answer to this problem. Anyone encounter similar issues?
