SAM API Component Monitor

A wizard that would prompt for API inputs and create an API call, along with a JSON/XML parser to glean data from the response and assign it to a monitored node.

Need your input for refinement. And GO!

Why "SAM API Polling" is not a component type in SAM templates ?

In SAM 2019.4 and 2020.2, we've added initial support for the API poller and then additional improvements. While not a component monitor, it has a streamlined workflow to handle API responses and pull them into monitoring.

SAM 2020.2 is GA today https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/SAM-Documents/Server-amp-Application-Monitor-SAM-2020-2-is-Now-Generally/ta-p/593800 and we certainly expect more ongoing enhancements. Make sure you take a look and file feature requests for what you'd like to see in API polling for future releases!
