Allow character . (dot) when logging using the new SSH feature

at the moment if you try to use the new SSH feature on NPM 12, it doesn't allow you to type in . (dot). For example, the username I use to login on my network device is raul.gonzalez. I can't login using the SSH feature because it doesn;t allow the character . (dot).
