Would like to see a better method of importing nodes into NPM/NCM en masse. Today, I only see an "import custom property values" option for existing nodes. I would ideally like to see some sort of CSV/XLS template that could be used to import nodes + custom property values.
Use case:
Export all CI's from an ITIL CMDB tool (like ServiceNow) and then upload that into Solarwinds. If the device already exists, the custom property values are simply updated. If the device doesn’t already exist, then it gets added along with custom properties. Also importing system parameters such as “Manage in NCM=True” would be helpful as well. We need some way to easily sync/reconcile the devices from external sources (like ServiceNow, Smartnet Total Care Collector) into Solarwinds.
