Option to minimize the number of compliance rules when creating copies of a policy

If I go into Configs --> Compliance --> Manage Policy Reports --> Manage Policies --> check a policy and then copy it.....it doesn't just copy the policy so you can modify it and save it under a different name. It now copies EVERY rule that was under that policy. This doesn't sound like a big deal...until you have more than 2-3 that you are copying. Now when you go to the rules section there are dozens and dozens (or a LOT more) copies of rules that are exactly the same. Also, you can't just delete those rules without them being removed from the policies that you copied. It all gets very confusing, and VERY redundant.

Here's my feature request:

Give us the option when creating a policy, to not make copies of the rules that it is referencing, and just re-use the existing rules that were in the original policy.

Caveats:

I know that this would not be ideal under certain circumstances. If you now modify the rule down the road, it can have an impact on all kinds of policies, and that may be difficult to track down if that is a situation that is specific to your implementation of NCM. That is why it should be an option, and not just an new automatic way of doing this.
