There has been a number of questions (Re: Is there a way to create custom dashboards on a per user basis? ) on how to allow users a "personal" home. There have also been questions on how to keep users who have view customization permission from changing views (User level view customizations? ). However, I couldn't find an actual feature request for anything related. So I'm putting one in.
We have a number of users who use and manage elements of our Orion installation (NPM, SAM, and NCM). And while we have unique "NOC" views for the systems, applications, and networks groups we are limited some what on how the individual users can customize their interactions with Orion. Ideally, each user would be given their own "home" page automatically. Based initially off of the default view set by an administrator. From their the user could customize everything. Administrators could, ideally, lock individual components so that node views (for instance) would always have the CPU/Memory meters in the top left column spot.
