UDT would be exponentially more useful in my environment if the device search was more robust and had less of a specific syntax requirement. It would also be great to be able to modify the search box to have default fields checked.
I would love to roll this out for our help desk to use in order to find users on our network and easily identify their machine, IP, etc. However, because they may not all be familiar with wildcarding and the format that UDT uses in the search field, I would need to create a reference document for them to refer to in order to simply find a user on our network (check the user id box, type full domain\ or a *, etc.). If they need to refer to a document to search, they will most likely decide not to use it at all and find the information another way. Even if they are to use the feature, it would be much less efficient than if they could simply type part of a user name or part of a mac address.
