Add attachments to email templates

I have automated processes set up that, depending on the ticket creation type, will generate an email that goes out to a group of people.  I would like to have the capability of adding any attachments that are put on the ticket to the email that is generated by the process.

Right now, the email templates don't have this ability.

  • It's an action rule that sends an email template that I created based on certain criteria.

  • Is this is an action rule to send an email or an actual email template that you can use tags in?  If you can't use tags to pull the attachment from the ticket you can probably use tags to add link the attachment url.  For me the attachments get this url https://helpdesk.myco.net/helpdesk/WebObjects/Helpdesk.woa/wa/CommonActions/download?dl=_v-GyIHWzyLgrH67jc0nDQ&id=1 and that last little part (_v-GyIHWzyLgrH67jc0nDQ&id) is what changes for each new attachment. 

    The point of all this is that you can create your own tags if you need something that is not built in.  There is a short tutorial in the whd help section, good luck.
