Layer 2 Traffic Visualization

It would be nice if the new Solarwinds Agent used with NPM 11 and up for QOE could be used to create flows like charts to display traffic traversing over a layer 2 network.

Using SPAN on a switch to an agent server and then perhaps like with QOE choose which Devices one is interested in or to use the complete subnet data.

This may give you some more ideas. We develop a product called LANGuardian which connects to a SPAN port. You can report on network activity based on MAC, IP or username. This data can then be integrated into your SolarWinds views so you retain a single console to see what is happening on your network. The online demo below shows MAC activity on the bottom right and you can drilldown to get further information.
