Open for Voting

Give the ability to set/see "default settings" in an individual component in a template.

Usually I put all the changes I make in the notes of each component and what the defaults were before I made the change (mostly when changing thresholds, rarely for anything else).

It would be nice to have an option to make it easy to put back the original settings, or simply to see what they were without having to track it manually (my personal method for a few one-offs) or download the template and manually look it all up.

Options I can see being "easier" to implement and use are, in order of "hope this gets approved" importance:

1. Allow the template designer a field to put a "default" value for each user editable component data field  that can be seen but not changed in the console.  If nothing else have this just for the threshold settings as this area is commonly changed.

2. Allow a "reset to defaults" button (per component) that would set all the settings in the component back to the default.

3. Allow for a "help" or some other area that the template designer can just type in the information, uneditable by the user from the console, text.  Not wanted too much as it's not going to enforce anything and more work to back-port.

4. Some feature that tracks changes saved to the template ( in text, i.e. "WARNING SET TO <number>, POLLS SET TO <number>) with the date changed.  This could be edited by the user (just append it to the Notes field) or some special non-editable/viewable field not normally seen unless a button is selected.  With this you get some cheap auditing, and can manually put it back to a point in time.
