Ability to use and parse show commands in device change templates, scripts

I would like the ability to use show commands in device change templates or scripts, and parse the response as part of the template/script.  This is functionality present in other scripting languages.  The reason I would like to do this is for many reasons:

1) I would like to be able to build more complex scripts, but leverage NCM's role based access control to prevent tier 1 help desk personnel with CLI access to devices.

2) This could alleviate NCM's dependency on having a completed inventory of a device before being able to use FOR loops.

3) The current information that can be leveraged from Node Inventory is very limited (and mostly Cisco centric) and being able to use show command output would greatly extend the device command templates to other vendors.
