FEATURE REQUEST - view all storage presented to a Hyper-V VM - VHDs & vHBAs

RE: Case #691011 - "Feature Request for VHBA visibility"
We have some virtual machines running under Windows Server Hyper-v 2012 failover clusters that have storage presented by 2 methods. The storage presented via VHD(x) files - visable through Hyper-V and SCVMM 2012 SP1 are seen by SolarWinds Virtualization Manager. This is good.

In some places we have Data LUNs presented directly to the VMs from SAN LUNs by fibre channel to virtual HBAs. These vHBAs are not managed or visible by SCVMM 2012 SP1 and do not show in Virtualization Manager. This is causing us issues when we want to investigate with VMAN.

This is therefore not a complete picture and we have faced issues when we have been wanting to see this extra storage when considering overall storage usage of the VM (not necessarily for capacity planning for these vHBA storage volumes) and for performance.

The performance data, relating to (at least) IOPS, for the storage from the vHBAs is shown in the IOPs for the OS volume in the graphs. I believe this to be incorrect data. We were investigating the performance and change in performance using different storage implementations presented via vHBAs, but can't see accurate details of these IOPs.

If anyone else has an interest in seeing accurate details of storage in VMs that the Management systems ( MS SVCMM )  don't expose - please show your interest in this feature request
