Manage Nodes: Multiple "Group By" filters for custom properties (from "Manage Nodes" page)

I also want this feature.  Unless I'm doing something wrong, I just spent a couple hours re-managing about 1000 nodes with the only sort available was the Planned unmanage date.  There are other nodes with different dates but I have no ability to filter them out.  If the Manage Nodes page simply had filtering by any of the selected columns in addition to "group by", multiple filters would make my work so much easier and faster.

Definitely wasn't quoting, but I will now :-)  "The Web Interface design improvements listed above are specific to styling changes that should give Orion a more modernized appearance. Additional functionality such as you describe is not related to the the visual redesign of the Orion web interface."  And yes, I know that doesn't mean you guys will never add new functionality... I think that goes without saying...  What was stated by you though was that the visual redesign of the web interface would not include new functionality, which is what I was/am sad about.  I was hoping while doing some of the visual redesign you guys would add some of these items in to not only make it look better, but also add some functionality to it at the same time, that's all. 

I'm not exactly sure from where you are quoting, but I assure you that doesn't sound at all like something I would say. I believe what you may be referring to is the SAM 6.3 beta currently underway, in which there are substantive improvements in the overall aesthetics of the Orion web interface but no functional improvements made specific to the Manage Nodes view. That does not imply however, that there aren't plans underway to significantly improve that specific area of the product.

humejo‌ True, however, I believe there are others working on, at the very least, different aspects of a larger overall picture. I am fairly certain meech‌ & ashley.orr‌ are well aware of this need to improve the grouping/filtering. Perhaps it is possible aLTeReGo‌ is simply referring to the next major release, as a whole, instead of very specific details of it... (which we all know, may, or may not appear, or not appear, in the next release, or not the next release... lol... )

I am sure they are all super busy making things better for us in the next release...

I worry though because I mentioned in one of the threads about the upcoming UI improvements that I hope they fix the Manage Nodes screen and Alterego replied and said that the UI update is only a modernization of the UI and that new functionality is not currently on their roadmap.  I really feel like the Manage Nodes screen would not take a team of experienced programmers very long to improve since the functionality we want is already implemented in other screens throughout the website.

Bumping the heck out of this because it needs to happen.

Especially considering they offer this same type of grouping in a couple other fields in the product...  Two that come to mind are when choosing nodes while executing a Config Change Template script in NCM as well as in the Configuration Management screen in NCM.  Both offer multiple levels of grouping.  Couple this feature request with these feature requests and you would have a MUCH more usable management console:

Next would be to add in the ability to Sort, Search, Group by, and Filter like you can in the Custom Property Editor screen and I would be 1,000 times happier with Orion!
