Ticket Merging Improvements

Hello,

I would like to submit a feature request to make some changes to the merge function. Specifically unmerging of tickets and if possible allow merging of merged tickets.

I would like the ability to turn the merging of tickets OFF as an option..

We occasionally have techs accidentally merge a ticket into an unrelated ticket. It would be nice to be able to undo this and merge the two correctly.

Typhoon87,
Merging and linking tickets are not the same. Sounds like what you are talking about is linking tickets - see https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2962
Merging combines one ticket into another, and typically closes the ticket that was merged (used for duplicate tickets, rather than related tickets (which are linked)).

I thought you were going to mention that it doesn't add the other ticket's creator as a CC.

The current merging of tickets is too complicated. Something like the main ticket has to be an incident and the secondary tickets have to be problems then you link the no do not have any options to merge or flow data from one to the other, a lot of flipping back and forth between the tickets ect. Not tech friendly.
