FEATURE REQUEST - Report exported to Excel

Not only that, but since V10.7, Excel is no longer able to query the data from the report.

What I mean by this is in previous versions of NPM (Report Writer) I could right click on any report opened in IE and select "Export to Microsoft Excel".
That functionality is now gone - update software and remove functionality that I has worked for the last 10 years or more.

Come on SolarWinds!!!!  This feature should be uber simple for your dev team to implement without so much as needing to have a meeting to discuss it.  Don't get me wrong, the improvements we've seen lately have been epic but this has been requested many times over the years.  @rob.hock    A little help here?????

I too would like the export to Excel feature integrated into the Reports view. The workaround is great but I've been getting requests from management to receive some of the metrics in CSV or Excel format instead of PDF. For now I have to do this manually.

We don't even get the pop-up, because the server must have Excel installed in order for the web server to source it.

That works great only with user intervention.

I want to e-mail the Excel file on a scheduled basis using report scheduler.

Sadly the report scheduler cannot click the OK button to attach the file to the e-mail :-(

You can also do this for a workaround for the time being.

And once you complete this you will see this on the report.

This is a must have for the Report Scheduler!

I agree that you can add the extension as you exampled but when I do that & open the file with excel 2010 it complains that the file isnt really an excel file.

Not to mention you have to manually add the extension to the end of the report url. It should be just as simple as choosing excel from the drop down menu which says html or pdf.
