Feature Requests Using SQL instead of MySql

Using SQL instead of MySql

Hi,

Our organization have a restriction on the type of DBMS used for any application.

I think it will be a good idea to have the option to install the STM on MS SQL or Oracle or the default on which is MySql.

What do you think ? and how difficult is the change to provide such a feature ?

Ah yes, but as of v12 of WHD, it no longer supported MySQL.

I'm all in on using MS SQL as opposed to MySQL or MariaDB. My organization also have restrictions on the type of DBs used in our production environment.

I would definitely support using MS SQL instead of MySQL as well. I prefer the backup options using MS SQL, especially considering the documentation for backup up Storage Manager suggests stopping the application just to run a backup. Also, I would rather segregate my server hosting the database from the primary server.
