It would help automation if a change management or workflow or trouble ticket system, was able to start an NCM Config Change Template (CCT) from outside of NCM.
The external product could pass parameters to the CCT script, trigger it and receive the results.
Use cases are:
- Network users submit a request asking for an ACL change (for instance), in a trouble ticket or change management product. Once approved, those products could invoke an NCM's CCT and trigger the configuration change script in NCM
- Similar requests could be moving a user from one VLAN to another VLAN.
