It would be extremely useful in interacting with a REST API was an active response option. Making a call to an API and saving data into a variable that can be used in subsequent calls would be ideal to fully integrate complex APIs. Ultimately my goal is to integrate with the Cherwell CMDB API and create Security Incidents & Incidents from events in LEM.
However I don't think a specific Active Response interface would be a useful as a generic one that could be used to integrate with a wide range of products.
Alternatively executing a custom script would be able to do this but there seems to be much resistance to allowing that on the LEM platform. There are plenty of Feature Requests for that already. By having a REST Active Response option the action could be queued until a response is provided back from the REST API to ensure the action has been completed.
