Support for Zero Touch provisioning for Cisco and Juniper

It would be great if NCM supported some of the more popular Zero Touch Provisioning  (ZTP) standards that exist for Cisco, Juniper, etc.

Since most vendors provide a mechanism to retrieve a script via an API, create a templating system to provide a baseline config for new devices based on MAC or Serial Number

  • I'm struck by the oxymoron of "zero touch" device configuration still requiring a resource that will configure the node, whether automatically or manually.

The technology that can make that labor-saving event occur is impressive.

But there's still a "touch" out there.  It doesn't happen without at least a touch.  Maybe the name should be changed from "zero-touch" to something more real.  Ideas that come to mind include:

    • Stealth Touch
    • Light-Touch
    • ESP (Effortless System Perception)
