How to check DB performance

Hi Team, 
 
 Hope you're doing well...!!! 
 Can anyone, please tell me how to check the DB performance. What need to be check and how to be check about the DB performance current status. So that, i can know that the DB performance good or bad. If it's not good then what steps need be done to fix the performance issues, like increasing disk space, ram, CPU and others. 
 In our SolarWinds environment, we are not using DB module. We are using only NTA & NPM.

by taskmanager you can know the performance of DB
