May i know if we are able to add services in Solarwinds for monitoring?

With just NPM then no, you can't. You can monitor (and alert) on drive space, CPU - basically all the hardware bits except interfaces. You'd need the SAM module to monitor services. -
We don't use SAM so I don't know. You'd be better asking the question here: Server & Application Monitor (SAM)

You need SAM. Then you can monitor services and create alerts which can also be used to restart a service if it is not running. I use it all the time. We have some flakey systems who's services are always…
