Network Performance Monitor SNMP with Nexus OS

I am new to Solarwinds.  I am trying to setup NPM to monitor our two Nexus 6000N core switches as well as our Cisco ASR1001-X router.

Can someone please help with this?  would like to enable snmp v3 and netflow for these devices and I can't seem to find information.

Thanks,

~John

  • I use the following for my ASR

    snmp-server user [Name] [Group] v3 auth sha [Community-1] priv aes-128 [Community-2] access [ACL-Name]

    snmp-server group [Group] v3 auth access [ACL-Name]

    snmp-server group [Group] v3 priv read [Group]View access [ACL-Name]

I used the following for my NXOS

    username [Solarwinds-Name] password [Community-1] role [define-role]

    snmp-server user [Name] [define-role] auth sha [Community-1] priv aes-128 [Community-2]

    snmp-server user [Name] use-ipv4acl [ACL-Name]

Track the different variables on a spreadsheet.
