SCP Server service stops mid transfer

I am trying to use SW SCP/SFTP server to get a 400MB IOS out to a remote device.  After several hours the service simply stops, and the transfer dies.  I have not timed it, but it always seems to be after about the same duration.  Has anyone else experienced this or have a workaround?

In this specific instance I am doing an SCP transfer.  The file size is 478MB flat file.  The transfer starts normally, authenticates, and the last message on the log shows  "user XYZ at X.X.X.X downloading file at "file.bin"

No messages after that point.  I just come back and the service is stopped and my transfer was aborted at the receiving side.

  • I am also having this problem.  Looks like its a problem with wodSSHD.dll but the version I have is different.

    Update:

    I opened a case #00292183.

  • Any update on this? I'm seeing the same issue, too...

  • FWIW on my end, 100M files go through just fine, but 500M files fail. So maybe it's a size/time issue?

  • I just got this response from tech support:

As per the ticket pending with developers, this is a known problem for any file that exceeds 100MB.
The SCP server locks up and eventually causes transfers to stall.

This is still being worked on and no ETA yet for the fix.
If files to be transferred exceed 100MB, we suggest using other SCP servers for the time being while this issue is still being addressed.

We will be forwarding your case to developers as well so they are made aware that SCP issues affect the NCM module as well.
While the SCP server is not really part of NCM, it causes operations like firmware upgrades to fail unexpectedly.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
