We are using a view-only Exchange account to authenticate with Solarwinds Exchange Monitor. I can get it to succesfully monitor Exchange services but almost frequently the account is locked out. Please advise.
RAD, can you check the Windows Event Security Audit Log on the Exchange server or the AD server (depending on account type) for an account lockout event? This will tell you which computer the account is being locked out from, it's possible it's not even because of the SW Exchange Monitor. Are you aware of this account being used anywhere else?
Is the tool able to gather the stats? i.e. do you see the values for counters being monitored?
Also does this happen intermittently? i.e. it works fine for a while and then locks out the account or as soon as you start the monitor the account is locked out?
