The Blues Brothers

Blues and the Blues Brothers Band (members have included Steve Cropper, Lou Marini, Alan Rubin, Jonny Rosch, Eddie Floyd, Donald “Duck” Dunn, Steve Jordan, Willie Hall, Tom Malone, Matt Murphy, Paul Shaffer, Murphy Dunne, Tom Scott, “Might Mack” McTeer, Larry Thurston, and Tommy McDonnell)

They’re on a “mission from God” to save the orphanage they were raised in, putting the band back together with some shenanigans along the way. It’s dark, they’re wearing sunglasses, and they’re running from the law—“Joliet” Jake and Elwood Blues will bring down whatever house they’re in with epic guests at every stop

Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem

From: The Muppet Show
Genre: Rockabilly
Members: Dr. Teeth, Janice, Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Zoot, Animal, Lips
Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoKFBjd5-F8
Sporting what is, inarguably, the best band name in history (real or fictional) and the most on-brand musicians ever, the house band for the Muppet Show was explosive (sometimes literally) in popularity, relevance, range, and musical virtuosity.

  • Its all Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.. Didn't even Willie Nelson play with them. lol

  • This is probably the hardest decision I will make all month.  Blues Brothers!  They went from a campy skit to a movie franchise.

I will let you know that I have sold a house, hired multiple contractors and will sign papers to buy a new house in about a week and NONE of those decisions compare to this one.

  • Seriously a tough decision, but the Blues Brothers are winners just by their own dedication. At the time, the movie held the record for the most cars smashed, until their sequel added one more car to the count. 103 cars were destroyed for that movie. That's dedication. That's why they get my vote. ;)

  • We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight. And we would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois's law enforcement community that have chosen to join us here in the Palace Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show. And remember, people, that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there're still some things that makes us all the same. You. Me. Them. Everybody. Everybody.
